MORE THAN 30 YEARS OF PASSION
SWISS CANYON TRAIL
The Swiss Canyon Trail brings Val-de-Travers to life with a unique experience combining sport, nature and culture, heir to the legendary Trail de l'Absinthe and among the pioneers of trail running in Europe.
The Swiss Canyon Trail is one of the most iconic ultra-trails in French-speaking Switzerland, in the heart of Val-de-Travers, very close to the Jura and the French border. Since 1994, this legendary race has established itself as an unmissable event on the international calendar and is now part of the World Trail Majors circuit.
Every year, more than 3,000 participants from across Europe and beyond come together over five distances – 111K, 81K, 51K, 31K and 16K (also open to Nordic Walking) to tackle demanding courses through spectacular landscapes such as the Creux-du-Van and the Gorges de l'Areuse .
Whether you're aiming for a 100km ultra-trail or a more accessible distance, the Swiss Canyon Trail offers a unique experience in Switzerland, combining authenticity, conviviality and sporting performance.
